CPM march against dissidence

KASARGOD: The dissidence in the CPM in the eastern areas of the district, which began with the Bedagam area committee meeting, triggered off a protest march in Kuttikkole on Saturday.The protesters who shouted the slogan ‘save the CPM’ were led by a branch secretary. About 50 activists took part in the protest march. A clash was averted by the intervention of senior party leaders. The divide in the party spread to the DYFI also. The Njeru committee of the DYFI sent a note to th e Kuttikkole committee expressing resentment over the actions of some party leaders.
