BANGALORE: The state government on Tuesday ordered an in-house police inquiry to find out the cause of the violence at City Civil Courts, even as Law Minister S Suresh Kumar announced the shifting of Lokayukta court, possibly, to Parappana Agrahara. The inquiry, which is to be conducted by DGP (CID) Roopkumar Dutta, is in addition to the judicial probe already ordered by the state government.Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda, Home Minister R Ashok and Suresh Kumar held separate discussions with members of the Bar Association and media representatives to arrive at a mutually acceptable solution. “The government wishes to resolve the issue amicably,” the Chief Minister told media representatives.According to Suresh Kumar, Karnataka Chief Justice Vikramjit Sen has agreed to provide a designated place for the media in the High Court and other lower courts. “Once the Lokayukta and designated courts are shifted out of the City Civil Court complex, the chances for skirmishes will reduce,” he said.When media representatives said they have received summons to appear on Wednesday, Ashok said there is no need to attend court as it will be addressed at a higher level.
