NALGONDA: A couple succumbed to severe burn injuries while their daughter and soninlaw suffered injuries after their van caught fire on colliding with a truck at Gunjaluru village of Chivvemla mandal on Wednesday.
According to police, G Devathamma (45) and her husband Rayappa (45) of Vijayawada, were travelling in a Maruti van with their daughter and soninlaw. The Maruti van rammed into a truck and overturned three times, following which the van's gas leaked and there was a blast.

Devathamma died instantly while her husband succumbed to burns when he was being rushed to hospital. The couple's daughter and soninlaw sustained injuries and were rushed to a hospital in Suryapeta.
