HYDERABAD: Counselling will be conducted for admissions into the six-year integrated B.tech course offered by Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) from August 22 to 24. The counselling will be conducted at RGUKT campuses in Basar, Nuzvid and Idupulapaya as per the merit order. Deputy chief minister C Damodara Rajanarasimha on Wednesday released a list of selected candidates for counselling for the B.tech course at the Secretariat here. Of the 3,000 seats available, 2,807 seats will be filled through counselling and the remaining 193 seats have been reserved for special categories like physically challenged, children of armed personnel, NCC and sports. Tejaswini Lakshmi from Guntur district secured first rank in the RGUKT entrance examination, while Vamsi Krishna from Prakasam district and Aparna from Warangal secured second and third ranks at the state-level. In case candidates fail to attend the counselling, they will forfeit any claim to admission. About 19,000 students applied for the admission into the three IIITs.
