With an aim to promote and create market to the Handloom products of weavers and also the tradition of authentic Indian sarees, the A.P. Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd is organizing a Lepakshi Cotton and Silk Fab at the Satya Sai Nigamagamam.
An all India level exhibition will be showcasing many varieties of cotton and silks of Andhra Pradesh and other States such as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Gujarat, among others. About 75 master weavers and manufactures will participate to exhibit their products worth. The handlooms on display and sales include, Bengali Silk, Kantha work, Tussar Silk, Bandhani work, Bhagalpur silk, Banaras silk, Chanderi Kutch embroidery, Maheshwari Orissa Silk, Kota sarees, Jharkhand silk, Kanchi, Gadwal, Venkatagiri, Narayanapet, Uppada, Mangalagiri, Kalakmari, Cheerala, Jamdani and other fancy sarees.
The exhibition is open to public from 11 am to 9 pm from August 9 to 17.
