THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ‘Kerala Against Corruption’ group, which was formed in the backdrop of the ‘India Against Corruption’ organisation launched by people like Anna Hazare, Baba Ramdev, Kiran Bedi and many others in the North, is starting a ‘complaint redressal cell’. The cell will start functioning at the Neyyatinkara Additional Tahsildar Office in front of the ‘K’ section, a press release said. The statement says that every Wednesday, a long queue could be witnessed in front of the Additional Tahsildar Office in Neyyattinkara which is testimony to the bureaucratic ways in which village offices in the state work giving many a headache to the common people. The cell is aimed at helping those people who have complaints against the working of government-semi government organisations and departments and their services. In the ‘K’ section, if a common man asks for his file, he is given the answer ‘do not know’. The cell will help such people who meet with official apathy by giving them technical support to seek the worksheet copy under the Right to Information Act, Thiruvananthapuram district convenor of Kerala Against Corruption S Chandrasekharan Nair said in the statement.
