Cops draw LoC for bull chase

BANGALORE: Following the ‘bullock chasing race’ in Sarjapur, prohibitory orders under Section 144 of Cr PC have been imposed in and around Sarjapur till 6 am on Tuesday.Based on the request made by Sarjapur police, Bangalore Urban Deputy Commissioner Aiyappa has imposed the prohibitory orders.The police said that the bulls are fed liquor and as per tradition, people will chase the inebriated bulls. Also the bull’s neck and horns will be adorned with valuables and currency notes. The fighters will run behind the bulls to subdue them. This might cause injuries to onlookers during the act, the police said.As a precautionary measure, the police have imposed prohibitory  orders.
