After visiting the Indinthakarai, Tsunami Colony, Vairavikinaru and Koodankulam villages on Wednesday and Thursday, Judge (retired) B G Kolse Patil, members Senior Journalist Kalpana Sharma, Chennai-based writer Joe D’cruz speaking to reporters here on Thursday, said, “We visited the village and spoke to the residents and relatives of those who have been put behind bars.”The team charged that the police, while trying to quell the protests, did not issue a warning or held talks with the leaders of the agitators. On the contrary, the protestors never took the law into their hands, the team claimed. Patil also raised questions over the sections of IPC slapped against the protestors.
