Alluru Venkata Ashok Varma began his criminal business of pirating new releases from the age of 14!
In his notorious career, he caused loss to the film industry in hundreds of crores. Now aged 19, this mega pirate was finally arrested by a special Anti-Video Piracy Wing.
Anti-Piracy Cell representative Raj Kumar said about Venkata's track record. "Studying his B.Tech, he has pirated a number of movies in the camcorder mode. He posted 'Shirdi Sai' movie in 103 websites on the 10th of this month. By blocking 75 of those sites, we have prevented over 52,000 visitors from downloading the film. Moreover, we have seized 23,000 CDs from him. It is hazardous on the part of youngsters to resort to such criminal activities. Parents have a responsibility to keep a tab on their children's activities," he said.
