EXCON 2011 is South Asia's largest trade fair for construction equipment and technology.

Bangalore Bangalore will play host to South Asia's largest trade fair for construction equipment and technology from November 23, 2011. The prestigious five-day exhibition - organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and now in its sixth year - features more than 600 exhibitors that include 200 leading international companies.

Mr Vipin Sondhi, Chairman, Excon 2011 & Managing Director & CEO, JCB India Limited says, "With each successive edition, Excon has witnessed immense growth both in quality and in numbers. So, while this will be the largest event on all counts including the number of domestic and overseas visitors, exhibition area and new project launches, the biggest difference will be the presence of enhanced foreign players. There will be country pavilions including leading economies like China, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, Turkey & Finland."

Excon 2011 would also have a large presence of SMEs in the component and aggregate manufacturing, showcasing India's potential as a preferred outsourcing destination for construction equipment manufacturing.

With the participation of almost all leading players in the construction equipment industry, the exhibition would aim at facilitating faster and sustainable development of infrastructure and related sectors in India.

From live demonstrations of equipment for earthmoving & construction, lifting, material handling, concrete making, hydraulics, pneumatics and drills, to a display of power tools & piling, electronics, controls & instrumentation, compactors, and compressors & generators, the fair promises to give close to 35000 visitors from different parts of India, a great business opportunity.

Apart from the participation of major equipment renting companies, and leasing and finance companies that offer on the spot loans, visitors can benefit by benchmarking product features of different makes, interacting about their requirements with technical heads, and negotiating deals with chief executives.

The event also acts as a forum to position India as an outsourcing destination for components, aggregates and equipment.

As part of its extensive pre-event promotion, CII has conducted 25 roadshows across the country besides overseas Roadshows in China, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Vietnam. CII has also launched promotional campaigns in print, electronic and social media to reach out to the masses.
