VISAKHAPATNAM: In a veiled reference to Chiranjeevi, actor Nandamuri Balakrishna on Monday said the former “had sold his party to a corrupt Congress and therefore had no right to criticise others.” Addressing a gathering after unveiling a statue of his father and TDP founder, N T Ramarao at Pedda Waltair here, Balaiah said Chiranjeevi wanted to be Chief Minister but had failed and therefore merged his party with Congress.Balaiah said, his father, N T Ramarao continues to remain the ideal chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, as he had served people with a salary of only `1.Welfare programmes introduced by Congress Party benefited only their leaders and did not reach common man, he said.On his entry into politics, Balaiah reiterated that he would contest elections in 2014 from any place his party chose and campaign for the party as he is inspired by contribution made by his father
