New Delhi: Underworld gangster Chhota Rajan, who was arrested in Bali last week, will be brought to India on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, sources said.
According to the sources, Rajan will be brought to Delhi first.
Earlier in the day, Rajan claimed that he has always fought against gangster Dawood Ibrahim and will continue to do so. Rajan was a close aide of Dawood at one point but they split after 1993 Mumbai blasts.
He was nabbed at Bali airport on his arrival from Australia on October 25. The team, which had left India in the early hours on Sunday, has been provided security by Indonesian and Delhi Police commandos.
The sources said Rajan was in touch with various police officials for last six months seeking a passage to return to India as he feared for his life in Australia from Chhota Shakeel, a henchman of Dawood.
In 2000, there was an attempt on Rajan's life when Dawood's men tracked him down to a hotel in Bangkok but he managed a dramatic escape.
