BANGALORE: The sleuths of the fraud and misappropriation squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested four persons for allegedly running illegal refilling of LPG racket and recovered goods worth about Rs 4 lakh. The accused are Narasimha, 30, Gangadhar, 38, Hemanth Kumar, 21, and Ravi, 40.According to the police, the accused persons were allegedly refilling domestic gas to commercial LPG cylinders and were selling them at exorbitant rates. They were running the illegal trade at two centres, one near Jamia Masjid on Hegganahalli main road and the other at Basaveshwara Layout on Chakranagar main road in Andrahalli. Based on a tip off, the police raided these centres and the four were arrested.The police seized 95 cylinders, filling rods, connecting pipes, a Maruti Van and other goods worth Rs 4 lakh from the accused during the investigation. A case has been registered in Rajagopalanagar police station in this connection and are further investigating in this regard.
