MANGALORE: Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on Sunday set a 24hour deadline for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to recall Governor HR Bhardwaj."If Bhardwaj continues as Governor, the agitations across the state will be intensified," the Chief Minister warned at a public rally organised to demand to recall of the governor and to convening of state legislature session from June 2.Pleased on witnessing large crowds attending the rally braving the scorching sun, he lashed out at Congress leaders and singled out local Congress leaders B Janardhan Poojary and M Veerappa Moily for special criticism.Urging the gathering to look at the ongoing development work around them, he posed the question on why the state had never seen any development works during the Congress rule. "Now we have exhibited our strength by sweeping the bypolls to three Assembly constituencies," he said.Lashing out at the governor, Yeddyurappa said on one hand Governor praises him at public programmes for working nonstop 18 hours. "At the same time he submitted a report recommending President's rule in the state (which the centre rejected later)," he said and added that Bhardwaj who does not have the ability to run a responsible office is close to quitting his office.Yeddyurappa targeting former PM HD Deve Gowda who demanded a reelection. He reminded the JD(S) supremo that the BJP won Chennapatna Assembly seat which was once a stronghold of the JD(S) by a margin of 17,300 votes.MPs DV Sadananda Gowda, Nalin Kumar Kateel and others were present on the occasion.
