A British parliamentary delegation on visit to Bihar to see the the development works in the state, on Thursday, called on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his official residence.

A British parliamentary delegation on visit to Bihar to see the the development works in the state, on Thursday, called on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his official residence.

The visiting delegates, led by House of Lords member Lord Cameron, discussed with Kumar the state government's works in agriculture, women empowerment and human development sectors and lauded their efforts, an official release said.

They also shared their experience after inspecting organic farming in Nalanda district, particularly mushroom farming at Sarinchak village and said it was a great step forward in the direction of empowerment of women and rural people and eradication of poverty, the release said.

The release said that the delegates gave suggestions about packaging and marketing of organic products.

The Chief Minister also apprised the visiting delegates about the various ongoing development works in the state, the release said.
