CHENNAI: The government on Thursday effected a massive transfer of the Managing Directors of State owned Transport Corporations and heads of educational institutions run under the aegis of the transport department.According to sources, Boopathi, who was heading the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) based at Tirunelveli has been made the new Managing Director of Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) in Chennai. The present Managing Director, V Babu has been transferred and posted as the Special Officer of IRT Polytechnic situated at Bargur. Mani, Special Officer, MTC would take over as MD, State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) in the place of V Paulraj, who has been transferred as MD, TNSTC (Villupuram) and the present MD of TNSTC (Villupuram), Paramasivam is posted as Special Officer, MTC, Chennai. Pandiyan, Special Officer IRT at Erode will be the new MD for TNSTC (Kumbakonam), while Rajendran, MD, TNSTC (Madurai) is posted as the new MD for TNSTC (Coimbatore). Saminathan, MD, TNSTC (Salem) would hereafter head TNSTC (Madurai); G Paulraj has been posted as MD of TNSTC (Tirunelveli); and Ganesan, Special Officer, Government Motor Vehicles Maintenance is shifted as MD, TNSTC (Salem). The present Special Officer of IRT Polytechnic, Bargur, Mohan has been posted as the Special Officer, Government Motor Vehicles Maintenance; and Rangaraj, Managing Director TNSTC (Kumbakonam) has been posted as Special Officer, IRT (Tirunelveli).
