The Institute, with the support of Dr V V Velukutty Arayan Foundation, is also organising a book release function at the Press Club on Wednesday, where the third edition of the biography of Velukutty Arayan, written by Vallikavu Mohandas, will be released by Minister for Cultural Affairs K C Joseph.

The book, brought out by the State Institute of Languages, was first released in May this year.

The book had met with an overwhelming response from the readers due to which its second edition had to be brought out in June itself. According to the Foundation representatives, the books in the second edition had also been sold out.

The third edition will be released by Minister by handing over a copy to former Cultural Affairs Minister M A Baby. BJP leader O Rajagopal will be the chief guest.

Velukutty Arayan was a leader of the Reformation Movement, social activist, freedom fighter, critic, orator and had left an imprint in many other fields too.

It was on the 43rd death anniversary of Velukutty Arayan that a biography in his name was released here. Writer Vallikavu Mohandas will also be present at the occasion.

The book fair will be inaugurated by Minister K C Joseph. Institute Director M R Thampan will preside over the function.

The book fair will have something for everyone, he said.  Be that science, technology, Engineering, computer, literature, languages, cinema, music, art, history, finance, law, journalism or sports.
