New Delhi: The Supreme Court is expected to hear a petition challenging the death penalty given to militant Devender Pal Singh Bhullar. His mercy plea was rejected last year after he was given death penalty in a 1993 car bombing case.
The Khalistani militant had been sentenced to death for triggering the 1993 Delhi car bomb attack that killed 12 people.
He had filed a mercy petition before President Pratibha Patil in January, which was rejected in May.
