New Delhi: Missing nurse Bhanwari Devi's husband Amarchand allegedly tried to escape from the CBI questioning centre on Wednesday, when he was confronted with some disturbing questions regarding the case of alleged abduction.
Sources in the CBI said that he was immediately overpowered, but remained uncooperative during the questioning session.
Bhanwari, posted as auxiliary nurse and midwife at a sub-centre in Jaliwada village, around 120 km from Jodhpur, went missing on September 1 and former Rajasthan minister Mahipal Maderna was arrested as he is accused of having a role in her disappearance.
A CD allegedly showing Maderna in compromising position with the 36-year-old nurse, had come to light after which she went missing from Bilara on September 1. Congress MLA Malkhan Singh has also been questioned by the CBI in the case.
Her husband had alleged she was abducted at the behest of Maderna.
