BANGALORE: The High court is expected to hear the bail applications of former IT and BT minister Katta Subramanya Naidu and his son, corporator Katta Jagadish in KIADB land scam on Thursday. They are under judicial custody at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison. However, the bail application of S V Srinivas, Itasca company managing director and one of the accused, was heard on Wednesday. The court issued notice to Lokayukta police with a direction to file objections and adjourned it to Friday.The advocate appearing for Katta and his son submitted that they had moved an application for early hearing and the petition was not listed for hearing, to which later the court said that it would take it up for hearing on Thursday.ChallengedThe accused have challenged the special court order which had rejected their bail petitions in the case. They had sought bail on the grounds that they had been cooperating the investigation from the day one the case was registered and that they had always attended the inquiry whenever they were asked to report before the investigation authority.
