Bahrain Prince in Delhi on four-day visit
Crown Prince of Bahrain Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa arrived in the Capital on Monday on a four-day visit.

New Delhi: Crown Prince of Bahrain Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa arrived in the Capital on Monday.

The Crown Prince is on a four-day visit during which the two countries are expected to sign two agreements in the field of media and culture.

The Embassy of Bahrain will also be opened in the Capital during his stay.

Sheikh Khalifa, whose visit is considered significant in efforts to forge closer ties between the two countries, is expected to hold talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday.

He is also expected to meet President A P J Abdul Kalam and Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.

Over 2.5 lakh Indians are working in Bahrain and the two countries are in the process of finalising an agreement for protection of their interests there.

Sheikh Khalifa will also address business leaders and visit the Bombay Stock Exchange.
