New Delhi: The hearing of Dr Rajesh Talwar's bail application has been deferred till June 10 because of lawyers strike in the Ghaziabad court.
Talwar is the main accused in his daughter Arushi's murder.
Talwar was in CBI custody for three days and when the CBI didn't ask for an extension, he was moved to judicial custody.
On Friday, a CBI team searched the drains around his Sector 25 residence. They were trying to find the missing murder weapon, which is a crucial evidence in the case.
At around 1030 hrs (IST), a team from the investigating agency reached the Jal Vayu Vihar colony and, with the help of workers from the Noida municipality began searching the drains in the area.
Earlier, the CBI had subjected Talwar to two rounds of lie-detector tests. But like the Noida police, the agency too has so far failed to come up with direct evidence against the main accused Dr Rajesh Talwar.
