Applications invited for temple art forms

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has invited applications for admissions to the courses in temple art forms at the Kshetra Kalapeedham centres under the Board.The courses, free of any charges, are conducted at the Kalapeedham centres at Vaikom and Attingal. Panchavadyam, Thakil, and Nagaswaram are the main topics at both the centres. A Mudiyettu course will be introduced at Vaikom from this year. Mukharsangh will be taught as a sub-topic at Attingal centre.The applicants should be Hindu boys who have passed SSLC examination and between the ages of 15 and 20. The application form which costs Rs 10 is available at the Vaikom and Attingal centres. Filled-in application forms along with attested copies of documents for proof of age, educational qualification and conduct certificate should be submitted at the centres before 4 p.m. on May 30.
