BANGALORE: The Lokayukta Court here on Monday ordered a probe against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and Major Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani on a private complaint accusing them of illegally ordering cancellation of an industrial site.Judge N K Sudheendra Rao directed the Lokayukta SP to probe into the complaint filed by Alam Pasha and submit a report by June 27.In his complaint, Pasha alleged that the accused had forged documents and ordered cancellation of allotment of 26 acres of land to him by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB).Pasha said the government had approved his `600-crore project for construction of value homes for middle and lower-income groups, and directed the KIADB to allot 26 acres in Devanahalli Industrial Area in July 2010. The complaint also named former principal secretary (commerce and industries) P Baligar, former MD of Karnataka Udyog Mitra Shivaswamy and its Deputy Director Gangadharaiah as other accused.Yeddyurappa, Katta Naidu Charge-sheetedFormer CM B S Yeddyurappa and former industries minister Katta Subramanya Naidu were charge-sheeted by the Lokayukta Police on Monday for criminal misconduct as public servants in arbitrarily denotifying land.However, the complainant, Alam Pasha, said Major Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani should also be included in the case. “I will file an objection before May 31 in this regard,” Pasha said.Lokayukta SP P K Shivashankara said as CM in 2008, Yeddyurappa abused his official power and illegally denotified 20 acres acquired by the KIADB for setting up an SEZ at Hoovinayankanahalli near Devanahalli.Yeddyurappa caused huge loss to the state exchequer by denotifying the land and waiving `8.64-crore development and service charges, he said.The land belonged to the owners of leading English and Kannada dailies, he said.Plaint against BSYA fresh complaint was lodged against former CM B S Yeddyurappa in the Lokayukta Court on Monday in connection with denotification of 69 acres of land in Hunasinakatti in Bhadravathi taluk of Shimoga district.The complaint, lodged by one D Vinod Kumar, alleged that Yeddyurappa illegally denotified forest land and transferred it to various names, before it was finally transferred to Dhavalagiri Properties, owned by his family members. The complaint also named Dhavalagiri Properties and Yeddyurappa’s son B Y Raghavendra as other accused. Lokayukta Judge N K Sudheendra Rao posted the hearing to May 27.
