Ajay Yadav is Vellore Collector

VELLORE: Ajay Yadav is the new collector of Vellore. The 32-year-old assumed office here on Wednesday. He has replaced S Nagarajan who has been transferred to Kanyakumari district. A 2006-batch IAS cadre, Yadav was inducted into the Tamil Nadu civil service as Assistant Collector (training) in Madurai district. He was later appointed Sub-Collector to Mayiladudurai in Nagapattinam district, then joint commissioner of commercial tax (enforcement) at Coimbatore, and later commissioner of Tirunelveli municipality.
