The cold vibes between Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are finally thawing. Or so we are given to believe. Mid-Day reports that the two warring Bollywood superstars have patched up their differences at Karan Johar's birthday party.
Apparently it was Shah Rukh Khan who extended the olive branch to Aishwarya "I think I owe you an apology because in some way I have wronged you," he is believed to have told Ash.
"A few minutes into the conversation with Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan apologised to her," the paper quoted a source as having said.
The paper says that Aishwarya Rai gracefully accepted the apology.
Shah Rukh Khan's and Aishwarya Rai's spat goes a long way back when she was unceremoniously dropped from his home production Chalte Chalte. Meanwhile Aishwarya moved beyond Salman Khan to Vivek Oberoi before finally settling down with Abhishek Bachchan.
Needless to say Shah Rukh Khan was not invited to the wedding. The wounds kept festering.
Things came to a head when at Katrina Kaif's birthday party Shah Rukh reportedly made ungentlemanly remarks about Aishwarya Rai. Despite all clarifications from Shah Rukh Khan's end the rift between the two kept widening.
It was finally at Karan Johar's party that the long-standing face-off between the two came to an end. Interestingly last year at the same party the two stars had kept away from each other.
Apparently the Bachchan couple later joined the Khans at Mannat where the party continued into the wee hours of the morning.
Another interesting side story that Mid-Day reports is that of a certain Vivek Oberoi hugging Abhishek Bachchan.
We say Karan Johar should celebrate his birthday more often!
