Are you tired of watching the Indian daily soaps or the reality shows don't impress you anymore? Then this new serial on StarPlus might interest you other than the Pakistani shows you love watching on Zindagi.
The scriptwriter of the show is Advait Kala, who is also the writer of 'Kahani', so a lot can be expected from the show which is aired once a week. Also that it marks the TV debut of Bollywood actress Tulip Joshi, who had a very short stint in Bollywood. But this show might just prove to be a turning point in her career. Airlines breaks the age-old stereotype in the aviation industry of the women being the pretty flight attendants and men being the pilots. The story revolves around Ananya Rawat played by Tulip Joshi, who is very ambitions and hardworking girl from a middle class family. Her parents have spent all their money to realise their dream of making their daughter a pilot. And yes, she is the first female pilot of Indie Airlines.
The first episode shows Ananya flying the plane successfully. The whole family is very excited as Ananya is going to fly a plane for the very first time after getting professional training. She drives a white ambassador car with her family sitting in it till the airport, so that her family could wish her good luck as she flies a plane. At the airport, the ambassador bumps into another car while parking and the person sitting in the other car made misogynist remark on her. Ananya takes it in her stride and prepares for her first flight.
Despite having issues with her co-pilot in the plane, she makes a safe landing much to the chagrin of the passengers who thought she won't be able to do so as it's her first day.
