CHENNAI: A two member team from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, on Monday met doctors who performed the autopsy on the body of former Telecom Minister A Raja's aide and realtor Sadhiq Batcha after his alleged suicide in his residence in March 16 this year.Led by Dr T D Dogra, an expert in Forensic medicine and Toxicology, they met two doctors who did the autopsy on Batcha, official sources said.Thirty eight-year-old Batcha, who was Managing Director of Greenhouse Promoters, a firm under the scanner of CBI and Enforcement Directorate in connection with the 2G spectrum scam, was found hanging in his house at Teynampet in South Chennai on March 16 by his wife and his driver.Dr Dekal, who performed the autopsy, had said that Batcha's death was due to asphyxia and his body showed compression of the neck with hanging mark and that the cause of death cannot be confirmed till the forensic report was received.Dr Dekal had put in his papers in the first week of March, saying he planned to contest the April 13 assembly elections.In mid March, he had moved the High Court seeking a direction to consider his resignation since no action was taken by the authorities concerned, following which the court had directed Director of Public Health to consider it and pass orders.However, On march 25, the state government rejected his resignation on grounds of shortage of staff and that he had not provide sufficient notice.
