Certain trains have been sanctioned temporary stops at Chengannur and Thiruvalla till January 19, 2012.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In view of the Sabarimala pilgrimage season, the Southern Railways have announced additional Sabarimala/ Winter Special trains. Certain trains have also been sanctioned temporary stops at Chengannur and Thiruvalla till January 19, 2012, said an official release here on Wednesday. Advance reservation for the additional Sabari/ Winter special trains would begin on November 22. The trains are: Train no. 06009 Chennai Central-Kollam Weekly Special, 06010 Kollam - Chennai Central Weekly Superfast Special (via. Coimbatore, Kottayam).

Train no. 06009, Chennai Central-Kollam Weekly Special would leave Chennai Central at 11.30 p m on Wednesdays from 23.11.2011 to 18.1.2012 and arrive at Kollam at 3.30 p m the next day. Train no.06010 Kollam-Chennai Central Weekly Superfast Special would leave Kollam at 9.10 p m on Thursdays from 24.11.2011 to 19.1.2012 and arrive at Chennai Central at 12.40 p m the next day.

Composition: 3 AC 2-tier, 3 AC 3-tier, 12 sleeper class, 2 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. Stops: Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam. T.No.06010 will stop at Perambur also.

06011 Chennai Central - Kollam Superfast Weekly Special and 06012 Kollam - Chennai Central Weekly Special (via. Coimbatore, Kottayam): Train no. 06011 Chennai Central - Kollam Weekly Superfast Special would leave Chennai Central at 3.15 p m on Fridays from 25.11.2011 to 20.1.2012 and arrive at Kollam at 05.45 p m the next day. Train no. 06012 Kollam - Chennai Central Weekly Special would leave Kollam at 11.30 a m on Saturdays from 26.11.2011 to 21.1.2012 and arrive at Chennai Central at 3.40 a m the next day.

Composition: 2 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 10 sleeper Class, 7 General Second Class and 2 Luggage-cum-brake van coaches. Stops: Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam. T.No.06012 will stop at Perambur also.

Stops at Thiruvalla, ChengannurTrain numbers 12697/12698 Chennai Central - Thiruvananthapuram - Chennai Central Weekly Expresses will stop at Chengannur.

Trains that would have stops at Thiruvalla are: Train no.12697/12698 Chennai Central - Thiruvananthapuram - Chennai Central Weekly Expresses, Train no 15906/15905 Dibrugarh - Kanyakumari - Dibrugarh Weekly Expresses, train no 12287/12288 Kochuveli - Dehradun - Kochuveli Weekly Expresses, train no. 12777/12778 Hubli - Kochuveli - Hubli Weekly Expresses, train no.12257/12258 Yesvantpur - Kochuveli - Yesvantpur Tri-weekly Expresses and train 12081/12082 Calicut - Thiruvananthapuram - Calicut Jan Shatabdi Expresses (5 days a week) Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari-Dibrugarh Vivek Express (Weekly)

Regular service of the Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Weekly Express train would begin on November 26 from Dibrugarh and Kanyakumari. Advance reservation for the above trains began from 23.11.2011.

Train no. 15906 Dibrugarh - Kanyakumari Vivek Express (Weekly) would leave Dibrugarh at 11.45 p m on Saturdays and arrive at Kanniyakumari at 10.25 a m on Wednesdays.T No 15905 Kanyakumari - Dibrugarh Vivek Express (Weekly) would leave Kanyakumari at 2 p m on Saturdays and arrive at Dibrugarh at 03.30 a m on Wednesdays.

Composition: 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class, 2 Luggage-cum-brake van and 1 Pantry Car coaches. Stops: New Tinsukia, Mariani,  Furkating, Dimapur, Lumding, Jagiroad, Guwahati, Goalpara Town, New Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, Alipurduar, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Durgapur, Asansol, Adra, Bankura, Midnapur, Hijili, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Duvvada, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chengannur, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram Central and Nagercoil.
