VIJAYAWADA: Anti-Corruption Bureau court special judge T Simhachalam on Thursday directed the ACB DSP, Vijayawada region to investigate the allegations made by Boyalla Vijaykumar of Chittoor District Cricket Association against Andhra Cricket Association president Gokaraju Gangaraju and eight others in connection with misappropriation of funds of the ACA.The ACB court has asked the DSP to submit his report by August 8.Vijaykumar filed a private petition in the ACB court on June 24 alleging that Gangaraju had misused his official position. The case came up for hearing on Thursday.In his complaint Vijaykumar alleged that Gangaraju had misused funds of the ACA and indulged in personal aggrandisement at the cost of the association.The complainant stated that Gangaraju was the honorary general secretary from 2007 to 2011 and ever since initiated steps to capture the entire management of the association to benefit himself, his family concerns and those who are listed by the complainant as accused.Advocates B Chandrasekhar and P Srinivas were counsels for the complainant. The complainant also alleged that the ACA has been conducting elections violating its by-laws. The ACA elections were scheduled to be held on July 13.
