THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former President A P J Abdul Kalam has said that the Chief Ministers of both Kerala and Tamil Nadu should meet and talk to resolve the issues regarding Mullaperiyar dam. “They must meet and talk about the objective factors such as safety of the dam, cost and other aspects,” he said. Kalam was speaking to mediapersons after having an interaction with students of Sainik School, Kazhakkoottam, here on Friday.“The people of Kerala and Tamil Nadu are alike in culture and in way of living and are closely related through business and economic affairs. The century-long relation between the two states should not be spoiled,”  Kalam urged.  While answering a question of one of the students as a part of the interaction, Kalam said that what India need was a solar power satellite and not a space shuttle so that power problems could be solved.
