60-yr-old man from Amritsar dies of heatstroke

Heatstroke in Hanumangarh district's Pallu police station area. The deceased, Meher Singh, belonged to Amritsar district in Punjab, police said.

According to police, Singh's body was discovered lying on sand dunes with family members saying that the deceased, who was suffering from mental illness, had got separated from his companions with whom he was visiting the area.

Police said that following a post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the deceased's family members.
