33 held for violence in Koyambedu

CHENNAI: Three special police teams, set up to arrest rioters involved in the attack on drivers and lorries parked at the Koyambedu Market on Tuesday, have arrested 33 persons so far in connection with the incident.Load men went on the rampage, damaging several lorries, after two of their colleagues were injured in a mishap at the on Tuesday.  A senior police official was injured in the rioting. The police teamsbooked the accused persons under various sections of IPC and TNPPDL Act and produced them before a court, which remanded them to judicial custody.
