NAMAKKAL: Three employees of a local cable television channel were arrested on Wednesday evening for the alleged theft and surreptitious use of optical fibre cables of the Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited.D Vijay, V Saravanan and S Ramesh, working with the Akash TV group of channels run by S Suresh, brother of Union minister and DMK district secretary S Gandhiselvan, allegedly stole Arasu Cable TV’s optical fibre cables in Karur and used them for Akash TV, a police officer said on Thursday.The Namakkal town police had filed an FIR against Suresh, manager Vadivel, and Paulraj, a senior administrator of Akash TV in this regard. After Suresh gave the cops the slip, special teams were formed to trace him.Vijay, Saravanan and Ramesh have been remanded in judicial custody.
