THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In an intense late night combing operation carried out the other day by the city police, a whopping 184 fugitives landed in police custody. The surprise combing drive was carried out under the directive of City Police Commissioner Manoj Abraham. According to the police, court warrants existed in the names of all those arrested. Among them, one person had a long-pending warrant in his name. Besides the fugitives, the police booked cases against 50 persons under various other charges such as drunk-driving and consuming alcohol in public place. Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajpal Meena, Assistant Commissioners Radhakrishna Pillai, Haridas and Vimal led the raids in which all Circle Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors within Thiruvananthapuram city limits took part. The arrested persons will be produced before the court in the coming days.
