BANGALORE: A 13-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Ambedkar Nagar in K R Pura mpolice station limits on Monday. The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained, according to police.
The deceased Supreetha was a seventh standard student at St Antony's Primary School at Ramamurthynagar. She was the daughter of Ramesh and Jaya.According to the police, the girl returned home from the school crying at around 3.30 pm on Monday. By 3.45 pm, she had committed suicide by hanging. However, Supreetha's parents had buried the body, without informing the police. The incident came to light when some of the neighbours alleged that the school authorities were responsible for her death.

"The school authorities have clarified that there was no problem with Supreetha when she left the school and their role in her death is ruled out. It is suspected that something might have happened on her way back to home and we are investigating on those lines," the police gave details.Driver Commits Suicide in AutoA 42yearold driver, who worked for the Fire and Emergency Services, committed suicide in the premises of a fire station in Wilson Garden police station limits on Monday night.The deceased has been identified as Christopher Jayaraj, a resident of Hennur Bannde, who was working as a driver at the Jayanagar fire station on the Bannerghatta Road. He owned an autorickshaw and after his working hours at the fire station, he took the auto out to transport passengers.He used to park his auto at the cycle stand behind the Jayanagar fire station.On Monday night, he was found hanging with a nylon wire from a bar of his autorickshaw, said the police.It is said that Jayaraj had not gone home since the last four days. He had some financial problem, which is suspected to be the reason for his suicide.Priest MurderedA 69yearold priest of a temple was allegedly murdered by two men in Hebbagodi police station limits in Bangalore Rural district on Monday night.The deceased has been identified as Puttaiah, a resident of Rajapura. Puttaiah had built a Shanimahatma temple at Rajapura, on a disputed land despite objections from few villagers. The temple was built around 45 days back, said the police.
