12 CPM members expelled in Kasargod

KASARGOD:  The district committee of the CPM on Tuesday expelled 12 party members from the party for taking out a protest march in Neeleswaram demanding Assembly seat to VS Achuthanandan.The 12 expelled party workers belonged to the Neeleswaram area and branch committees of the party. The statement by V S Achthanandan against the action taken against some party workers of Uduma had kicked up a controversy recently when he criticised the action taken against the party workers for having taken part in the marches demanding Assembly seat for him.VS had stated that it was not proper to take action against party members when the party conventions were taking place preparatory to the national convention of the party.
