How to Redeem Codes in miHoYo's Honkai: Star Rail to Get Extra Rewards
Do you have a redemption code for Honkai: Star Rail and you're not quite sure where to input it? The code redemption area is different in Star Rail than Genshin Impact, miHoYo's other popular RPG game, so if you're used to going into your settings to redeem codes you'll find that it's not there in Star Rail. Thankfully redeeming codes in Star Rail is very simple, and we'll walk you through how to redeem them in game as well as on the miHoYo website.
Things You Should Know
  • To redeem codes in the game, go to your phone menu and click the three dots by your name, then select "Redemption Code."
  • To redeem codes on the website, log in to miHoYo's Honkai: Star Rail code redemption site and enter your information and code.
  • All rewards for codes will be redeemed in-game, whether you redeem them in the game or on the website.

Redeeming In-Game

Open the phone menu while in-game. If you're not sure how to do this, you can press Esc on a keyboard or the Options button on a controller.

Click on the three-dot button next to your name. It's in the top part of the menu. If you're on a controller, you will have to scroll up to select it.

Select Redemption Code. A text box will pop up for you to enter the code.

Enter your code and click Redeem. If you have a keyboard, you will have to use that to enter your code, even if you're playing with a controller. If you're on a console, the on-screen keyboard will pop up. If you are on a computer and you have the code copied, you can paste it into the field.

Head to your mailbox to claim your rewards. The mailbox is the envelope icon on the right-hand side of the screen. If you have already claimed a code, you will get a mail message that states as such.

Redeeming Online

Go to the HoYoverse Honkai: Star Rail code redemption site. If you don't want to boot up the game to redeem a code, you can redeem it online with the HoYoverse redemption site.

Click Log In in the upper right. Ensure you've logged in before you try to redeem a code.

Select your server from the dropdown. You can select America, Europe, Asia, or TW,HK,MO.

Type in your character's nickname. This is the name of your Trailblazer. If you didn't set a name, your character is likely the default name of Caelus (for a male avatar) or Stelle (for a female avatar).

Enter a redemption code. You can type it out or copy and paste it.

Click Redeem. Once a code is redeemed, the rewards will get sent to your in-game mailbox where you can claim them once you've opened the game again. If you have already claimed a code, you will get a mail message that states as such.

Where to Find Codes

Patch livestreams. When a new patch is announced in Honkai: Star Rail, miHoYo/HoYoverse will host a livestream to go over the new features, characters, and more. There are always redemption codes handed out during the livestream, but they are only available for a limited time, so make sure you redeem them right away!

HoYoLab. HoYoverse has an online community called HoYoLab, and users will post redemption codes on the site. These posts are usually tagged with the words "redeem," "redemption," "code(s)," and "HSR" or "Honkai: Star Rail."

Social media. Sometimes the Honkai: Star Rail or miHoYo/HoYoverse official social media accounts may post redemption codes. These codes usually expire, but last longer than the livestream codes.

Reddit. Users in the Honkai: Star Rail Reddit post redemption codes once they have been distributed, so you can check in to find them and get extra rewards.

Google. If you google "Honkai: Star Rail redemption codes" a number of sites will pop up sharing what codes are currently available. Keep checking back as new codes are distributed often!
