Babysit a lot. Parents usually like to go out to eat around 5:00. About an hour after you get home you can go babysit. If you do this every night for every school day and save, this will help a lot. Check the laws in your area to make sure you are allowed to babysit at your age. Not everywhere permits this. And if it's a school night, don't forget to finish your own homework before helping another kid with theirs.

Pet sit. When your neighbors go away for vacation or work, offer to care for their pets. Charge extra for different species and additional pets.

Selling

If you live on a farm or if you have lots of land, try some of the following ideas: Buy a calf. Raise the calf and take good care of it and then when it's grown up you can sell it. You can also raise cattle. Grow and sell vegetables. You can grow crops and then sell them. People always buy fresh crops. Sell eggs from your chickens. People love fresh eggs.

If you are artsy, have a craft sale. You can paint beautiful paintings, then frame them and sell them. You can also make bracelets, birdhouses, tie-dye, and other things.

Have a mini yard sale. Gather together old things that you don't want and ask your family for things they don't want. Set up a table on your lawn or go to somewhere local and safe. Put a sign up saying "yard sale". Be sure to have a responsible older person or an adult to sit with you.

Start a dollar store.

Odd jobs

Work somewhere. Usually you can't get a job at Cracker Barrel, but at some of your local cafes and restaurants, you can send a letter or talk to the manager about doing small things for a small price. This means if you go to a cafe, you can sweep and clean tables or wash a few dishes.

Work at a plant nursery. You can tend to the plants, water them, and prune them. You can maybe do this at a local plant shop, where you know the owners of the business. Get your parents to talk to the owners.

Work in your family business. You can also just work for your parents. It will not be awkward, and you might have fun!

Services

Do a service. Is it summer? Mow lawns for green. Is it fall? Rake leaves for coin. Is it winter? Shovel snow for dough. Is it spring? Water plants and create gardens for money.

Walk dogs. You can walk the neighbor's dog for a low price, that way they are more likely to use you than the more expensive dog walkers. Do it a few times a week. Charge a few dollars. Take the dog out for at least 20 minutes, and take some baggies with you (to clean up the poop).

If you have elderly people around your neighborhood you could mow their lawn for them and even help grocery shop or water their flowers. Elderly people often give big money for your great services.

Offer to buy groceries/pick up mail. If you're going to buy groceries for people, buy only what they told you to and nothing else. You will be eventually found out, even if you are the most discreet person in the world. Don't shoplift either; it's illegal and you may end up in jail. As for picking up mail, close up for the day if the weather forecast is bad. It can be dangerous to be outside when it is snowing a blizzard or thundering. Make sure you dress properly and in layers if it's cold.

Finding money

Pick up change on the sidewalk.

Collect parents unwanted change and save it up in a jar.

Save the change from what you buy at a store. Every little bit helps and it soon adds up.
