Check your Wi-Fi network.
Make sure your Wi-Fi network is online. If you're having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi, make sure the network is stable and active. If it isn't, you may need to restart your router.
Turn off any VPNs.
Disable any active VPN services. A VPN can block the connection with Apple's servers. Turn it off before you try to connect to the server again.
Restart your device.
Turn off your device and turn it on again. A quick restart can fix common issues, whether you're using an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. If you're using a Mac, make sure you select Shut Down rather than Restart.
Sign out and sign in to your Apple ID.
Log out and log in again. This can help sync new information to your device. Do the following: Open Settings. Tap your Apple ID. Scroll down and tap Sign out twice. Tap Sign in to your iPhone. Enter your Apple ID and password.
Check Apple's status.
Go to Apple's System Status checker. If there are any issues regarding Apple's services, you'll see them here. If everything is working properly, you'll see a green circle next to "All services are operating normally".
Update your device.
Make sure you're running the latest version. Keeping your device up-to-date can help you avoid software issues. On iOS, go to Settings → General → Software Update → Download and Install. On Mac, click the Apple menu. Click System Settings/Preferences → General → Software Update.
Change your Apple ID password.
Update the password for your Apple ID. If you recently updated your password on a different device, you'll need to enter it again on your current device. This also keeps your Apple ID secure. To change your password, navigate to your device's settings and select Apple ID.
Change Date & Time settings.
Make sure your time zone is correct. When the time zone is set incorrectly, it may interfere with certain apps and features. Do the following: Open Settings. Tap General. Tap Date & Time. Toggle on Set Automatically.
