This wikiHow teaches you how to disable Apple's two-factor authentication (TFA) if you've opted into the feature in the last two weeks. As long as it has been fewer than 14 days since you turned on TFA, you can disable the feature by following the link in the confirmation email from Apple. Apple no longer allows users to disable TFA if it's been enabled for longer than 14 days.
Open your email inbox. You can use any web browser or email app to check your email account that Apple sends mail to.
Open the TFA enrollment email from Apple. You can only unenroll from TFA within two weeks of initially enabling the feature. To enable TFA, sign in at https://appleid.apple.com, and click Get Started under the "Two-Factor Authentication" header. After you enable the feature, you'll receive an email confirmation.
Click the link in the email. This link explains that you can set your account security back to your previous settings.
Confirm the change. Once you click the link and confirm the action, your Apple account will no longer use two-factor authentication.
