- On desktop, click your user ID. Hover over your current status, and then click "Invisible".
- On mobile, tap "☰" or swipe right. Tap your user icon → "Set Status" → "Invisible".
- Appearing Invisible on either desktop or mobile will reflect in all platforms.
Using Desktop
Launch the Discord desktop app. Discord is available to download on Windows, Mac, and Linux. If you aren't already logged in, enter your email address and password to do so now. You can also use Discord in a desktop browser at https://discord.com/. Similar to appearing offline in Xbox and PlayStation consoles, you'll be able to use Discord without being visible to other users.
Click your user ID. This will be at the bottom-left corner. A pop-up menu will open.
Hover over your current status. You'll see this underneath your profile's About Me section. This can look like: Online, Idle, Do Not Disturb, or a custom status. A pop-up menu will open.
Click Invisible. This is will at the bottom of the menu, next to a grey dot. You are now Invisible. You'll stay Invisible on all platforms until you change your status again. Setting your status as Invisible allows you to stay logged in and use Discord without anyone knowing your activity status. You will not be visible to other users. If you type into a chat or server, others will still see (your username) is typing… before you send your message.
Using Mobile
Open the Discord app. This looks like Discord's mascot, Wumpus, with a blue-purple background. Discord is available for iOS and Android.
Tap ☰ in the top-right corner. You can also swipe right to open the menu.
Tap your user icon. This will be in the bottom-right corner. A new page will open.
Tap Set Status. This will show your current status, which can be: Online, Idle, Do Not Disturb, or a custom status. A pop-up menu will open.
