New Delhi: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has dismissed the reports linking him with a mega-money move to Real Madrid, while young Jack Wilshere has committed his long term future to the club.
Wenger recently oversaw his 700th game in charge of Arsenal, and during his 12 year tenure has been subject to repeated speculation linking him with the hot seat at another club.
The Frenchman has always remained committed to the Gunners though, and has once again reiterated his desire to stay in north London.
"I believe I have shown my commitment to this Club," Wenger explained to the club's official website.
"I accepted when we built the new stadium to stay to commit my long-term future to the Club under restrictions."
Commitment
"I don’t think anyone can doubt my commitment here," he said. "You can question my decisions and I accept that, but not my commitment."
"No (no one has spoken to my representatives), because I represent myself," he concluded.
Arsenal's first major piece of business in the transfer window has been securing young and highly-rated left-footed playmaking midfielder Jack Wilshere to a reported eight-year deal.
The young gun could only recently commit to the club, as he turned 17 on New Year's day.
