Thomas Tuchel in Trouble: Who Could Be Some Possible Successors to Lead Bayern Munich Next?
With questions being raised about Bayern's future, there is a fair chance that coach Thomas Tuchel would be feeling the heat to some extent, and would be next up on the chopping block if this abysmal run of form continues.

The higher they go, the longer they fall. Well, Thomas Tuchel for one will be hoping that something would break his team’s fall, as Bayern slumped to a third consecutive defeat this past weekend against a lowly Bochum in the Bundesliga.

The spark that lit the fuse of this seemingly ticking timebomb was none other than Xabi Alonso himself. Since their disgraceful 1-3 loss to Bayer Leverkusen, the Bavarians have slumped to a frustrating low, as they incurred a 1-0 loss to Lazio in the Champions League and followed it up with the most embarrassing one of all, a 3-2 defeat to 11th place Bochum in the Bundesliga.

With questions being raised about Bayern’s future, there is a fair chance that coach Thomas Tuchel would be feeling the heat to some extent, and would be next up on the chopping block if this abysmal run of form continues.

So, let us take a gander at some potential candidates who could replace the German, in the case that he is dismissed, at the Allianz Arena.

Xabi Alonso

How poetic would it be? A  rival turned savior. Xabi Alonso is undoubtedly one of the most sought after managers in the footballing world currently, owing to his unprecedented success with Bayer Leverkusen so far.

From battling relegation ton battling the Bavarians for the title, Alonso has been at the driver’s seat for Leverkusen this season, orchestrating a team that has looked unstoppable so far.

Alonso is yet to sign an extension with Leverkusen, enticing clubs galore to take their chances at wooing the Spaniard.

If Tuchel were to lose out on the title this season, and potentially his job as well, it would only make sense for Bayern to try and lure Alonso to the Allianz next season.

Zinedine Zidane

Another player-turned-manager who has ultimately proven to be the creme-de-la-creme. Zidane’s tenure in Real Madrid saw him clinch three Champions League titles, two La Liga titles and 2 Spanish SuperCups, and altogether nabbed 11 trophies within a span of just 5 and a half seasons with Los Blancos.

The resume speaks for itself, Zidane is certified managerial gold. And with the Frenchman currently a free agent, Bayern will be tempted to sign him on to help propel the club to yet another Champions League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

A surprise for all for good reason. The former Manchester United manager has been out of a job in club football since his departure from the Red Devils. But, it has been reported that the Norwegian is close with Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund, which may open the doors for both parties involved to help themselves.

Although it is all specualative at this point, it is believed that Solksjaer, if sought after by Bayern, will only be appointed as an interim manager for the time being to lead the club, in case Tuchel does end up getting the sack anytime soon.
