Madrid: Real Madrid Brazilian left-back Marcelo Vieira is suffering a "grade 2 muscle strain" in the right leg, according to a medical report, which was revealed by the club.
Marcelo, 28, retired last Wednesday in the match between Real Madrid and Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabeu and "will continue to be monitored," the statement said on Friday,reports Efe.
Meanwhile, fellow Brazilian Real Madrid player Casemiro, who was injured in last Sunday's encounter between Real Madrid and Espanyol (0-2), has a crack in the bone of his left leg and will be out for a month.
