Manchester United's second Fabregas bid rejected
However, Manchester United are preparing to submit a third bid for the midfielder according to the sources.

Manchester: Manchester United bid to lure Cesc Fabregas away from Barcelona has come as a blow for the EPL champions who are deaparate to get a star name in their squad before the season starts.

United are believed to have offered in excess of 30 million pounds having had an initial 25 million pounds bid turned down by the Spanish champions. Old Trafford manager David Moyes is anxious to bring the former Arsenal midfielder back to the Premier League to strengthen a key element of his squad, but admitted United will not wait for ever for a decision.

'My understanding is that (executive vice chairman) Ed Woodward has had a response and he's spoken with Barcelona and again we've made a second offer. But Ed's dealing with that, rather than me personally here.

'I think a point does come when you give up but I think when you are interested in good players you want to give it every opportunity to materialise. And I'll do that, he said.

Barca's vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu had earlier insisted that the 26-year-old is not for sale but if reports are to be believed then United are ready to put in the third offer in coming days.
