New Delhi: Manchester United were met by a posse of dedicated fans as they arrived in Guangzhou on Wednesday evening for the latest stage of their Far East tour.
Fans travelled to the south-western city and crowded outside the team's hotel armed with banners to wait for their arrival and seek autographs.
The match against Guangzhou will be the team's fourth of the tour, having already played and won games in Japan, South Korea and Macau.
Members of a Manchester United Chinese fan club are delighted to finally get a chance to see their idols and promised even more fans would arrive in time for the match on Friday.
During the team's training on Thursday in preparation for their match against the unusually named Guangzhou Pharmaceuticals side some fans stormed the field due to which the session was briefly interrupted.
While some fans ran on to the field, others were busy taking pictures of their favourite players from a close range.
Taking precautionary steps, the players were sent back to the locker room and waited until the crowd dispersed before returning.
United have already beaten FC Seoul and Shenzhen Xiangxue Eisiti in Macau earlier on during the tour.
