FC Goa manager Zico has said that his team needs to rediscover their killer instinct if they are to climb up the table and compete with other teams in the Indian Super League.

Goa are currently bottom of the table and Zico also feels that the team has been a bit unlucky due to injuries.

"We had many opportunities, but we were unable to score goals and the team has made some mistakes during some crucial moments and we faced losses," Zico said before their match against Delhi Dynamos on Thursday.

"Even at the beginning of the league some players were unable to play due to injuries and other reasons. At the start of the league, the players also needed to get to know each other well and their styles of playing.

"However, in general we have been playing a good game. We had had superiority in most of the matches. But we should just carry on and play our game and continue playing well", he added.

When asked about Indian Super League's future in the upcoming seasons, Zico was confident that it surely will not be a one-season wonder and the league will continue to progress in coming years and will help develop Indian football.

"I do hope the number of Indian players increases next year and I do think the ISL will be a big success among all the football lovers with all the support it has received, and I hope it will be better for the development of Indian football," he concluded.
