'He's Like a Football Doctor': Jurgen Klopp Heaps Praise on Liverpool's Mac Allister
One of the orchestrators behind Liverpool's dominance this season, especially in the midfield has been none other than Argentine Mac Allister.

Utter dominance established in classic Klopp fashion at Anfield. Liverpool were in top form as they ran riot over Chelsea in a 4-1 victory.

With Jurgen Klopp’s departure from the club imminent, it seems as if Liverpool play with such inspiration that they would have beaten anyone. Virgil van Dijk said ahead of the game that Klopp’s bombshell had given them a boost as they look to send their manager on his way in style, and that was plain for all to see on a night where from first whistle to last they dominated their opponents in the manner we’ve come to expect from Klopp’s peak Liverpool teams.

And one of the orchestrators of Liverpool’s dominance this season, especially in the midfield has been none other than Argentine Mac Allister.

Mac Allister has been a consistent performer throughout the season for Liverpool , but was widely considered to be a No.6 stopgap until recently, with Klopp moving him deeper in order to accomodate his best midfielders.

Mac Allister dazzled against Chelsea as well, snapping into challenges in central midfield, giving compatriot Enzo Fernandez and former Brighton teammate Moises Caicedo no time on the ball whatsoever before running rings around them when in possession.

When asked about the Argentine, a joyous Jurgen Klopp exclaimed, “Very [impressed], I’m over the moon. Macca is just like a football doctor. [It’s a] wonderful story with the dad and the uncle and the cousins and brothers are now all footballers and analyse games already as kids. The dad asked: ‘What did you see in the game?’ I cannot thank his father enough for that knowledge and education. Playing the position the way he plays is very, very special.

“Super smart and his contribution to all our play in possession is extremely important. We had that not for all the years since I’ve been here but we had it in a few years where we were in good positions where everyone wants to write a book about an individual player and this is fantastic and this is fantastic.”

Liverpool continue to hold onto a slender lead at the top of the table over defending champions Manchester City in the Premier League currently and will be facing off against title contenders Arsenal on Sunday.
