El Clasico preponed for Champions League
This has been done to give Barcelona more time to prepare for their Champions League tie against Chelsea.

Madrid: The Spanish football association (RFEF) has announced that the Primera Division encounter between Barcelona and Real Madrid at Camp Nou will take place on April 21.

The game had initially been scheduled for Sunday April 22, but to give the Catalans more time to prepare for their Champions League tie against Chelsea, the federation has decided to bring the El Clasico forward to April 21. Barcelona are playing the English giants in the second leg on April 24.

On April 22, it will be the third meeting between Barcelona and Real at Camp Nou in the 2011-12 campaign.

Both sides previously met on August 17 in the second leg of the Spanish Supercopa (3-2 win for Barcelona), and on January 25 in the Copa del Rey second leg quarter-final (2-2).

Real Madrid currently hold a four-point lead over Barcelona with seven more games to go.
